思いつくアイデアが似ている時に類似表現を使用することで前に進むことができます

英語のエッセイと類似表現

英語のエッセイは導入、ボディ、結論の3構成で書きます。エッセイによって書く文字数が違い、それによってボディの数が変わります。

エッセイに類似表現を使用する理由は、思いつくアイデアが似ている際に片方を捨てるのではなく、双方書く事により主張をより際立たせることができるためです。

多くの人が、あまり多くのアイデアが思いつくことができずに途中で手が止まってしまいます。

アイデアの数が少なくても、類似表現のテクニックを覚えておくことで、まとまりのあるパラグラフを書くことは出来るのです。

通常、導入とボディパラグラフで類似表現は使用します

類似表現

類似表現の基本としては、以下の接続副詞と前置詞のフレーズを使う2パターンがあります。

likewise/similarly/by the same token/along similar lines
in a similar fashion to/in the same way as

どれも似た表現ではありますが、実際にパラグラフ内で使用する方法を一緒に確認していきましょう。

導入パラグラフと類似表現

まずは導入パラグラフの悪い例を見てみましょう。どこがいけないか当ててみてください。
